BOTOX® Injections

BOTOX St. Joseph, MIBOTOX® Cosmetic is a natural, purified protein, which in very low doses relaxes the overactive muscles that cause frown lines to form.  Treatment is simple and nonsurgical, and smoothes the deep, persistent lines between your brows that developed over time.  Typically, BOTOX® treatments last up to four months before retreatment is necessary.

Injectable Fillers

Intense Pulse Light treatments (IPL) and Photofacials

We utilize a state-of-the-art Palomar Starlux® Pulsed Light System for skin photo rejuvenation.  These comfortable and effective intense pulsed light (IPL) treatments can make visible improvements in your appearance, with little or no down time.  Multiple areas and conditions can be treated including sun damage, sunspots, rosacea, and spider veins.  Further information can be obtained at:

Laser Hair Reduction

Unwanted or excess hair can be permanently and painlessly removed or reduced using recently developed technologies of diode lasers and intense pulsed light. Typically, several treatments are needed since each treatment targets the individual hair follicle most effectively in a certain phase of growth. Followup treatments are typically scheduled four to six weeks later to target other hair follicles that are now in their most sensitive growth phase. Small areas such as the underarms or upper lip can be treated in 10-15 minutes or less, whereas larger areas such as the legs or back may take 30 minutes or longer per session. Our patients have been particularly pleased with their results from laser hair reduction. We utilize two of the most effective technologies available for laser hair reduction, the Lumenis Light Sheer™ ET diode laser system and the Palomar Starlux® intense pulsed light system. Laser Skin Rejuvenation

If you’ve ever wished that you could “renew” your complexion to make it smoother and more even-toned, laser skin rejuvenation or laser resurfacing may be a good option for you. Cosmetic laser rejuvenation or resurfacing, also called “laser peel”, is a procedure that smooths the facial skin by using a laser to resurface damaged areas and reduce fine wrinkles. Microdermabrasion

Microdermabrasion is a technique of gently removing the most superficial layer of dead skin cells leaving the skin beneath supple and vibrant. Early microdermabrasion systems used loose particles that could cause environmental and respiratory damage. The DiamondTome™ system was developed to softly exfoliate this outer skin layer with natural diamond chips and then vacuum the dead skin cells away in a sterile and controlled manner, avoiding the dangers of loose abrasives on the skin or in the air.

Scar Care Programs

Integral to any plastic surgical practice is the minimization and elimination of scars. Our skin care specialists and aesthetic nurses utilize special protocols to assist in optimal scar healing. Instruction is given in sun avoidance and topical applications of specialized products.
